Alkali Resistant Sealing Primer
- Product Introduction
Alkali‑resistant sealing primer is a water‑borne modified acrylic primer with excellent alkali‑resistance and water‑resistance.
- Product Application
Featuring outstanding penetration and anti‑chalking performance, this product is suitable for painting on indoor and outdoor brick walls, cement and other surfaces. It is specially designed to seal alkalis in concrete substrates so as to prevent the efflorescence of water‑soluble salts and subsequent peeling. Meanwhile, it can reduce topcoat consumption and improve the decorative performance of topcoat.
- Product Features
① Powerful anti‑chalking capacity for easier topcoat application. ② Excellent alkali resistance to prevent adverse effects of alkaline walls on topcoat colour. ③ Penetrates into substrate surfaces to help achieve full‑bodied topcoat film and uniform gloss. ④ Easy‑to‑apply with strong adhesion.
- Basic Data
- Solids Content: 50 %
- Environmental Performance: No added compounds of lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium. VOC content complies with GB 18582‑2020.
- Alkali Resistance: No abnormality after 48 hours test.
- Water Resistance: No abnormality after 96 hours test.
- Drying Time: Surface dry 0.5 h; Hard dry 1 h (at 25 ℃).
- Application Methods: Brushing, spraying, roller coating.
- Application Conditions: Above 5 ℃, relative humidity below 80 %.
- Coverage Rate: Theoretical 5‑6 m²/kg (one coat, dry film thickness 40 μm. Actual coverage varies with substrate condition).
- Dilution: Dilute with 10‑30 % water. Stir thoroughly before use.
- Precautions
New walls must be fully dried for a period until moisture content is less than 10 % and pH value below 10 before application. Under typical conditions of 25 ℃ and 65 % relative humidity, cement‑mortar walls require more than 7 days of drying, and concrete walls require more than 60 days. Surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry and smooth, free of dust, grease, powdery or peeling paint film and other surface contaminants.
