Special epoxy primer for construction machinery
1 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This is a two-component polyamine cured pure epoxy coating.
2 RECOMMENDED USE
This primer is designed for metal surfaces of various engineering machinery, such as loaders and excavators, to provide a protective base coat for critical metal structures like chassis and frames. It enhances adhesion and corrosion resistance for subsequent coatings, effectively shielding against rainwater and moisture to prolong equipment lifespan. Additionally, it serves as temporary rust protection during the manufacturing, storage and transportation of engineering machinery components.

6 APPLICATION
Application Temperature: 5–40°C
Application Conditions: Relative humidity below 85%. Substrate temperature at least 3°C above the dew point.

Applied Substrate: Bare steel.
Coating System: Acrylic, chlorinated rubber or polyurethane topcoat, or according to the PUNTIUM recommended coating system.
7 SURFACE PREPARATION
- Remove salts and other water-soluble contaminants with fresh water.
- Remove oil and grease with suitable detergent or solvent in accordance with SSPC-SP 1.
- Remove rust, mill scale and foreign material by abrasive blasting to ISO Sa 2½ / SSPC-SP 10 or better.
- All coated surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust.
8 STORAGE
Store in dry, cool conditions away from heat and ignition. Keep containers tightly closed.
Shelf Life: 24 months at 25°C, subject to re-inspection thereafter.
9 CAUTIONS
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- Avoid skin and eye contact.
- If paint contacts skin, wash with warm water and/or suitable cleanser. If paint contacts the eyes, flush with plenty of water and seek immediate medical attention.
- Ensure good ventilation and avoid inhaling spray mist or vapour.
- Application and handling must comply with relevant national regulations. Refer to the SDS for detailed information.
